Hon. President of the United Republic of Tanzania Hon. Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete recently inaugurated a VETA Kipawa ICT Centre. The VETA Kipawa  Information Communication Technology is a newly established centre by our Government through soft loan from the Government of South Korea via Economic Development Cooperative Fund (EDCF). The centre offers long and short courses in ICT based subjects.

The Institute offers a number of long courses including, Personal Computer Maintenance and Network Engineering, Multimedia and Graphics Design, Web Design and Programming, Electronics and Electrical and Automation. We also offer short courses including, Computer Application Package, Computer Application Package, Graphics Design, Graphics Design and Video Production, Website Development, Web Development, PC-Maintenance and Networking,  Electronics,  Electrical Automation Installation,  Electrical Installation for Beginners and PC Maintenance with Electronics.

The Vocational Education and Training Act was enacted by the Parliament in 1994 to guide the vocational education and training (VET) system in Tanzania. The Act established the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) as an autonomous government agency charged with an overall responsibility of Coordinating, Regulating, Financing, Providing and Promoting vocational education and training.
