ZONAL PROFILE                                                                                                                               The Lake zone covers three administrative regions namely:- Mwanza, Mara and Kagera. It  has a land area of 106,170 sq km and  a population of 6 million.  

It boarders Kenya and Uganda to the North, Rwanda to the West, Arusha Region to the East and Shinyanga Region to the South.

The zone covers a land area of 106,17 sq.km with a population of about 6 million people.

VET PROVISION

The zone has 84 vocational training centres including Folk Development Centres which offer training in different trade areas. The distribution of centres in the zone is as follows:
