Morogoro Vocational  Teachers Training College  (MVTTC)

A centre of Excellence for National Vocational Instructors Training

The MVTTC is a fully-fledged vocational teacher training institution, which was established on 1^st February 1994 by a parliamentary Act No. 1 (Section 4 (2) of the same year. It is the only college in the country mandated for training Vocational Instructors. In order to serve this role effectively, the college is manned with highly qualified, dedicated and self-motivated staff.                                                                                                                           Vision - MVTTC’s vision is to become a centre of excellence for national vocational training and specifically vocational instructors training

Mission - The mission of the MVTTC is to produce quality vocational trainers and experts who are capable of responding aptly to the Labour Market demands through liaison with industry and other stakeholders.

The Morogoro Vocational Teachers Training College (MVTTC) is one of the major tools VETA has for promoting and enhancing VET provision in Tanzania. Situated in Morogoro, the College is responsible for imparting teaching skills to vocational instructors in Tanzania.

It is managed by The Principal, Mr. Stephen Lazaro on the right,  who reports directly to the Director General. The College runs both short and long courses, which are held either on or off campus. With effect from 2006, the College plans to introduce a Diploma Course for vocational instructors.

The College library:                                                                                                                                  The MVTTC Library is well equipped with relevant textbooks both imported and local.  There is also an audio-visual unit, which collects items needed for teaching and learning process. Other facilities like photocopying and binding are also available.

Information and Communication Technology:                                                                                          The college has Internet facilities to enable both trainees and employees keep on updated with the necessary information required in their profession.

Other facilities:                                                                                                                                         Other facilities available at the college are seminar rooms, conference hall and a modern kitchen building. All these facilities provide suitable learning environment for out trainees.
